1. Licence Grant

Upon purchasing a HamStream licence, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to install and use HamStream on up to three (3) machines per licensed callsign. This licence is personal to the holder of the callsign specified at the time of purchase.

2. Callsign Requirement

HamStream is licensed software intended for use by licensed amateur radio operators. You must hold a valid amateur radio licence for the callsign you register. By purchasing a licence, you confirm that:

  • You are the current holder of the callsign entered at purchase.
  • The callsign is issued to you by the appropriate national authority.
  • You will not attempt to register using a callsign you do not hold.

3. Activation Limits

Each callsign may have a maximum of three (3) active machine-bound licence keys. Each key is tied to the specific Windows Machine ID provided at the time of purchase. If you replace or reinstall your machine, contact support to request a replacement activation.

4. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Distribute, sell, rent, or sublicence HamStream or your licence key to any third party.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the HamStream software.
  • Use a licence key issued to another callsign.
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent the licence validation system.
  • Use HamStream for any unlawful purpose.

5. Updates

Your licence entitles you to all updates to HamStream released during the lifetime of the product. Major version upgrades (where offered) may require a new licence purchase, but this will be communicated clearly in advance.

6. Refund Policy

Because HamStream licence keys are delivered digitally and immediately upon payment confirmation, we are generally unable to offer refunds once a key has been issued. If you experience a technical problem preventing activation, please contact support at support@hamstream.co.uk before requesting a refund. Refunds will be considered at our discretion in cases of genuine fault on our part.

7. Privacy Policy

When you purchase a licence we collect: your callsign, email address, machine ID, and PayPal transaction details. We use this data solely to generate and deliver your licence key and to provide support. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to process your payment (PayPal). We do not send marketing email.

Payment processing is handled by PayPal. HamStream does not store your payment card details. PayPal's privacy policy applies to all payment data.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

HamStream is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no warranty that it will meet your requirements or that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. Use is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HamStream and its author(s) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the software.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
