Radio CAT Control Surface

Every Control.
One Screen.

Map buttons, faders, and dials to any CAT command your radio supports — PTT, band switching, mode, RIT/XIT, AF gain, RF gain, drive, noise blanker, noise reduction, and more. Connects to any rigctld server, Hamlib-compatible rig, AetherSDR, or hardware radio via serial CAT. Six named memory channel buttons let you save and recall frequencies in one touch — tap to recall, hold to save. Persistent band memory, step up/down tuning, and a live display panel showing frequency, mode, and signal level.

What you get
Full shack control. One app.
📡
rigctld / Hamlib
Connects to any rigctld TCP server — AetherSDR, WSJT-X, flrig, HRD, N1MM+, or your own Hamlib daemon. Serial CAT (Kenwood, Yaesu, Icom) supported directly.
🎚
Faders for Level Control
Map vertical faders to AF gain, RF gain, TX drive, squelch, noise reduction, RIT offset, or any numeric CAT parameter — smooth 0–100 range with live feedback.
🔘
Buttons for Every Function
PTT, band up/down, mode select, NB, NR, ANF, APF, RIT on/off, XIT, split, VOX, compression, full break-in CW — each button maps to one or more CAT commands.
📻
Band Navigation with Memory
Band up/down buttons jump between amateur bands. First visit defaults to the voice section start (IARU Region 1). Return to a band and it restores your last frequency.
📌
Memory Channel Buttons
Six named memory buttons (M1–M6) let you save and recall any frequency in one touch. Tap to tune instantly; hold for 1.5 s to save the current VFO with a custom name. On-screen keyboard included.
Step Up / Step Down
Dedicated step up and step down buttons nudge the VFO by the rig's currently selected step size — ideal for hunting DX or scanning a band segment without leaving the control surface.
🖥
Live Display Panels
Add display controls to show the current VFO frequency, mode, S-meter reading, RIT/XIT offset, or any value polled from the rig — updates in real time.
🎛
MIDI Input
Connect a USB MIDI controller or foot switch and map its buttons and dials to CAT commands. Use physical hardware to drive the software control surface.
🔁
Auto-Reconnect
Connection status shown in the titlebar. If the radio or server restarts, CAT Deck reconnects automatically — no manual reconnect needed.
🔗
CAT Bridge Server
Optionally exposes a local bridge so other applications can request CAT operations. Useful for integration scripts, voice control, or contest logging software.
🪟
Virtual COM Bridge
Creates a virtual serial COM pair so legacy software that only supports COM port CAT can connect via the bridge without needing a hardware radio port.
PTT Safety Timer
Set a maximum transmit time. If you forget to un-key, the timer automatically sends a PTT release — preventing your radio from being left in transmit.
🎨
Themes & Customisation
Multiple built-in themes. Per-control colour overrides, custom fonts, and individually named controls. Layouts saved and restored on relaunch.
💾
Layout Export / Import
Save your entire control surface to a file. Share with other operators or restore on a new machine — all button assignments and positions preserved.
