Setup
Up and running in four steps
Download the plugin
Download the .streamDeckPlugin file below and double-click it. Stream Deck software installs it automatically.
Enable Bridge API
Open CAT Deck, go to Bridging in the settings panel, and toggle Bridge API on. The server starts on port 7742.
Add actions to your deck
In the Stream Deck app, drag a CAT Button, CAT Dial, or CAT Raw action from the CAT Deck category onto any key or dial slot.
Activate your licence
Open the Property Inspector, scroll to Licence, enter your email and key, and click Activate. All actions work immediately.

CAT Button Action
Assign any CAT command to a key — band select, mode change, NR/NB toggle, memory recall, step up/down, or any custom command. Momentary or toggle with visual feedback on the key face.

CAT Dial Action SD+
Turn the Stream Deck+ encoder to tune the VFO, adjust AF gain, RF gain, or any dial-mapped CAT command. Live value shown on the LCD strip. Press to reset to centre.

CAT Raw Action
Send any raw CAT command string directly to your rig on key press. Full flexibility for rigs with custom command sets not covered by the built-in mapping.

Auto-reconnect Bridge
The plugin maintains a persistent WebSocket connection to CAT Deck on localhost:7742. If CAT Deck restarts, the plugin reconnects automatically.

Memory Channel Recall
Assign a Stream Deck key to recall any of CAT Deck's M1–M6 memory channels. One tap to jump to a saved frequency instantly, without touching the rig or the PC app.

PTT & Transmit Control
Key your transmitter from a dedicated hardware button. PTT Safety Timer in CAT Deck auto-releases after the configured timeout so you can never get stuck in TX.

All Rigs via rigctld
The Bridge API talks to CAT Deck, which supports Kenwood, Yaesu, Icom CI-V, and Hamlib-compatible rigs via rigctld. Any rig CAT Deck can control, the plugin can control.

Licence-protected
The plugin requires a valid £10 perpetual licence key entered once in the Property Inspector. Enter your email and key — all actions activate immediately. No key, no CAT output.

The plugin communicates with your radio via CAT Deck's local Bridge API (WebSocket on localhost:7742). CAT Deck must be running with Bridge API toggled on in Settings → Bridging.

CAT Deck is available for Windows from £10 (one-off, perpetual) with a free 30-day trial built in.
